Meet the Team

Pat Pat

Office Manager

As office manager, I work with our team to create a unique and pleasant experience for our patients. Often, that starts with managing our patients’ finances and ends with tidying up a bit! I have an associate’s degree in marketing and management, and have been with the practice since 2002. Working in this office brings me a lot of joy. With an office full of women, you can imagine it can get a little crazy, but Dr. Smiley puts up with us and genuinely cares about us.

I have an amazing son, Dillon, and his wife Megan. I also have a dog, Biscuit, that is 15 years old! In my free time, I enjoy singing in my church choir and hanging out with friends and family!

Heather Heather

Schedule / Insurance Coordinator

In my role as our scheduling coordinator, I have the pleasure of welcoming everyone to our practice. I enjoy talking to our patients and parents and getting to know them on a personal level. Since I’ve been here for more than ten years, our patients and my teammates have become like my second family!

I have recently married my husband Patrick. I have a daughter Chelsea, a son Bryson, and a stepdaughter Addyson. We also have two dogs, Chip and Bo. Patrick and I enjoy sleeping in on Saturdays, jumping on the trampoline, and spending time with family.

Libby Libby

Clinical Director

I have worked with Dr. Smiley since 1989, the year I graduated from Spartanburg Technical College as a certified dental assistant. As our clinical director, I make sure the clinic runs smoothly and efficiently, and ensure that patients are seen in a timely fashion. I enjoy witnessing how braces transform people’s smiles, and seeing the look on patients’ faces when they see the transformation they have made.

I married my husband James on October 14, 1989: just one month after starting my job at Smiley Orthodontics. Although I have no children of my own, I have two nieces and two great-nieces whom I consider my children and grandchildren. In my spare time, I love being with my family.

Melissa Melissa

Laboratory Technician / Orthodontic Clinical Assistant

As our laboratory technician and orthodontic assistant, I do adjustments on patients’ braces to advance their treatment, and make orthodontic appliances needed for straightening and the retention of our patients’ smiles. I came to Dr. Smiley in 1999 after earning my degree from Spartanburg Technical College in dental assisting. I love seeing the transformation of patients from the start of treatment to the end result.

I have been married to my wonderful husband Billy for nearly a decade and a half. We have a teenaged daughter and a younger son. We love spending time playing sports, camping, hiking, and being involved in my church. I also love animals and have chickens, cows, two dogs, and a cat.

Tori Tori

Treatment Coordinator and Professional Relations Coordinator

I am a 2013 graduate of the expanded duty dental assisting program at Spartanburg Community College. My goal is to provide high-quality clinical assisting to Dr. Smiley, to ensure that our patients receive the best treatment possible. There is nothing more rewarding than helping to give patients the healthy and beautiful smile they deserve! As our patient, you can count on two things: You’re going to be treated like family and it’s going to be FUN!!

I married my husband Matt in 2016. We have three dogs — Katy, J. Cody, and Bill Miller — all of whom have Texas-themed names. Matt and I enjoy traveling, taking our dog Katy to her dock diving competitions, watching Texas A&M football (Gig ’Em, Ags!), and spending time with our 12 nieces and nephews!

Bailey Bailey

Orthodontic Clinical Assistant

After earning my associate’s degree from Spartanburg Methodist College, I enrolled in a program for chairside dental assisting and later became a certified orthodontic assistant. I love being a part of a team that works together to provide each patient with self-confidence through a beautiful smile. We all enjoy celebrating our patients’ smiles at the end of treatment!

In my free time, I enjoy engaging in outdoor activities, spending time with my friends, and watching Clemson football.

Danielle Danielle

Orthodontic Clinical Assistant

I received my associate’s degree and my expanded duty dental assisting certification through Spartanburg Community College. The best part of my job is truly loving where I work. I enjoy the office, Dr. Smiley, the staff, and all of our patients. Plus, it’s amazing to see our patients’ lives change as they grow into a beautiful, confident smile.

Outside the office, I enjoy spending time with my boyfriend Jordan and my wonderful family. I have many animals, including four dogs, two lizards, a bird, fish, and chickens. My hobbies include shopping, going to the gym, and doing outdoor activities.

Orthodontic Clinical Assistant

I received my Expanded Duty Dental Assisting Certification through Spartanburg Community College in 2018 and started working with Dr. Smiley shortly thereafter. The best part of being a member of the "Smiley Team" is how well we work together to make each patients' ideal smile shine.  I strive to make everyone's visit with us enjoyable.

Outside the office, I enjoy spending time with my husband Alex and my daughter Gracelynn.  Together we have two dogs, Pax and Ellie.  We enjoy traveling to four-wheeler races on the weekends and spending time with family and friends.
